We have been supplying the food service and retail industry for seven successful years and have many happy customers all over Australia and internationally. Our customers range from the individual tea drinker, to cafes, restaurants, hotels, resorts, spas, delis, food stores, gift stores and more. We pride ourselves on producing a top quality product at a reasonable price and below is just some of the features of our range-:
QUALITY
We have selected only the finest quality tea, herbs, spices and dried fruits for our range. The herbs used are the best quality available, being the superior non-hybrid variety and Australian-grown wherever possible. They have been hand harvested by highly skilled organic producers at optimum times within nature’s seasons and naturally shade dried without excessive heat. The few herbs that cannot be sourced as “certified organic” have been “wildcrafted” or gathered from clean remote areas, with the utmost consideration for maintenance of natural ecosystems.
The black teas have been sourced from Sri Lanka and India and blended in Australia. We are using high-grade full-leaf black teas that have been hand-picked with lots of tips (a sign of quality) for our English Breakfast and Earl Grey, giving these teas an aromatic and full-bodied flavour. The Oriental teas have been sourced from China and Taiwan, where they have the environmental conditions and expertise in tea making to produce these specialty teas. Again, we have sourced high-grade teas that have been hand-picked and delicately processed.
TASTE
The herbs used in Byron Bay Tea Company’s signature range have been blended with spices, dried fruits, vanilla
bean and other natural ingredients- providing you with a healthy, refreshing and delicious alternative to non-blended
herbal teas. The quality of our teas and the expert tea blending has been crucial in producing an exquisite tasting range of black and oriental tea.
PACKAGING
There are many packaging options available to you in loose leaf tea and now also a selection of traditional teas are offered ipyramid teabags. These various packaging options have been chosen because they maintain the quality and freshness of the tea, they are easy to use, attractive and also make great gifts.
UNIQUE BLENDS
This range has been created by Naturopath, Herbalist, and avid tea-drinker, Sarita Merlo. She has used her herbal medicine knowledge and experience with herbs to create the six unique signature blends that Byron Bay Tea Company is well known for.
PYRAMID TEABAGS
Byron Bay Tea Company is very excited to now be offering our traditional tea range in pyramid teabags. We are using exactly the same, high-grade loose leaf teas for the teabags. The advantage of the pyramid shape is that it is convenient, infuses really well and the machine is able to use full leaf tea rather than grinding it down or using a poorer quality of tea (or fannings), like in the conventional teabags. We are leading the way in Australia with these innovative bags that are made from biodegradable packaging materials, as most are currently made out of nylon.
